Natural Asthaxanthin is biosynthesized by living microalgae (Hematococcus pluvialis) and then extracted using supercritical carbon dioxide technology.
Haematococcus pluvialis is a microalgae grown in closed system where there is no exposure to chemical, microbial and other contamination. It is here in the closed system that algae , under nutritional stress and sunlight condition , it turns from green to red and accumulates Asthaxanthin.
Asthaxanthin is a very powerful anti-oxidant and the most potent singlet oxygen quencher which is like 75 times stronger than Alpha lipoic acid, almost 500 times stronger than vitamin E and green tea, 700 times more powerful than Co-enzyme Q 10 and 6000 times stronger than vitamin C.
Exhibits strong antioxidant properties due to presence of large number of conjugated double bonds.
